Frequently asked questions

where are you located?

As a private nail tech, I do a one on one manicure service in the comfort of my home (in Asheville) where I work with high attention to detail, taking time to perfect your nails. After booking your appointment, the address will be sent to you.

Do you do Gel removal?

As a trained nail tech, I want to make sure my clients’ nail enhancements get removed in the safest way without causing damage to the natural nail. Since this does add time to your service, please let me know ahead of time that we will be doing a removal.

What is proper hard gel aftercare?

-For the first day or two, refrain from staying in water for long periods of time, especially hot water. Use gloves If needed.

-When dealing with chemicals, please use gloves as protection. Certain chemicals may fade out your gel.

-Keep your cuticles hydrated!!!

-Avoid using your nails as tools, it makes them get weaker over time and it’s a lot of pressure on your natural nail as well

-Do not wait more than 4 weeks for a new set, your natural nail cannot carry unbalanced amounts of gel and may potentially cause breakage. ALSO- good quality hard gels do not soak off with acetone, so if you remove them they must be removed by file.

Do you do regular nail polish services?

I do NOT offer regular nail polish (lacquer) manicures as a private nail tech. Hard gel manicures are my specialty.

Do you offer Acrylic services?

As a nail technician who takes pride in being a gel specialist, I will NOT be offering acrylic nail services. Although if you want the same acrylic like effect but with a sleeker look & longer lasting results, gel extensions may be something to try out!

what if i have a cracked or broken nail?

Don’t worry, that’s what i’m here for! If you’re trying to grow out your natural nail, I can repair breakage on your nail In order to prevent shortening all of your nails. If your nail’s free edge is completely broken off, it’s already dead and I will not reapply it to your nail. Instead, I will create a gel extension on your nail to match the rest of your nails.

Why may my nail service take a while?

As a new nail tech, I am still learning to work on my speed. I also am a perfectionist & will gladly take the time to ensure your nails look amazing and that we are both happy with the final result. Every nail service is different, but most range from 2-3 hours. Unlike many nail salons, I care about the quality of the nail service you are receiving and I will make sure you walk out loving your nails. Here are things I do that take time to achieve beautiful nails:

-Precision cuticle work/ Russian Manicure

-Proper nail prep to prevent lifting

-Detailed handprinted art

-Laying the perfect structured base

-Cutting down and shaping of the nails

-Repairing cracks or broken nails

-Safe product removal that prevents damage

extra notes:

If any of your nail enhancements break within 5 days after a service, please reach out to me so I can repair it asap free of charge.

All tools and implements are cleaned and disinfected to the standards of the NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts in order to keep all clients safe. Porous items such as files and buffers are a one time use and thrown out after each client.

I prioritize quality over profit now because in the end, quality, integrity and value wins. I love to choose the best for my business because I care about long term success, not fast numbers.
